Apurva Desai

Apurva Desai is a digital technology executive and entrepreneur. He has served as CFO for global media, mobile, and internet companies in Silicon Valley, the Midwest, and Asia. Most recently, Apurva was CFO for Vuclip (acquired by PCCW Global). Apurva built his career at industry giants such as Ernst & Young, Intel and Yahoo!. He also has experience growing and scaling companies such as Glu Mobile (acquired by Electronic Arts), Disney/venture-backed startup Scrapblog (acquired by Mixbook), and pre-IPO Exponential Interactive (S-1 filed).

Apurva is currently an Executive in Residence for the World Affairs Council of Northern California, a not-for-profit advocacy group that convenes thought leaders, change makers, and engaged citizens to share ideas, learn from each other and effect change to the world’s most challenging problems. Apurva’s focus with World Affairs is applying technology towards social good projects. Apurva has taught an introductory Finance course at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, Center for Law and Business. His writings and commentary have appeared on The Next Web, India Currents, and the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC). Apurva is a CPA (Inactive) and holds a B.S in Business from Miami University and an MBA from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business.
