Simon Bate

With decades of experience in technical publications, Simon has acquired extensive knowledge in writing, structuring, managing, production, book design, template design, and document conversions of all sorts. Simon provides content expertise and develops tools to help him — and others — perform their tasks more efficiently.

Simon divides his time at Scriptorium between tools development and training. He is a Certified Technical Trainer (CompTIA CTT+). He has given presentations at a number of conferences, including: WritersUA, TCWorld India, STC Summit, the Gilbane Enterprise Content Management conference, and DocTrain East.

In addition to a BA in Geology from the University of Colorado, Simon has a Certificate in Technical Publications Management from the University of California at Santa Cruz, extension.
