Jay Clapp

Jay Clapp has worked in various roles since 2000. Jay'sfirst role was as a GIS Technician at Plexis Group LLC, where they updated AutoLISP programs used in production and conversion of GIS data, performed quality assurance and testing methodologies on custom-developed software packages, and mapped GIS, 911/Emergency data using AutoCAD Map 5, aerial photography, and real estate data obtained through client or research. In 2002, they took on a Sales/IT role at C and C Auto, where they designed a custom vehicle database to facilitate better inventory records keeping, performed analysis, gathered requirements, and developed technical design specifications. Jay also designed and developed the database and an easy to use, intuitive web graphical interface. In 2004, they worked as a Machine Setup at Metaldyne, and also as a Freelance at Olson Race Cars, where they completed a redesign of the site utilizing DotNetNuke, ASP. Net, CSS, and HTML. In 2007, they worked as a Freelance at Henry County GIS, where they implemented MapServer and FGS Chameleon package to quickly develop an intuitive, robust, FREE solution for Henry County to display GIS data online. Jay completed all aspects of the project including gathering, designing, building, testing, and hosting. The solution was developed and hosted on Linux with Apache web server. In 2010, they took on a role as a SharePoint Developer at Sahasra Technologies Corp. Finally, in 2016, they became a Pre-Sales Engineer at ScriptSender.

Jay Clapp has completed coursework in Computer Science at Ball State University and has also taken courses at New Horizons.
