Alex Wolf is a prominent figure in the field of computational biology, currently serving as Co-founder and CEO of Lamin, an API-first data platform for biology, since April 2022. Wolf is also an active member of the advisory and management committees of scverse, a consortium aimed at aligning Python open-source software projects in life sciences. As the creator and project lead of Scanpy, Wolf initiated this major open-source software project during a tenure in Fabian Theis's lab and contributed to the development of anndata.
