Emma Dann

Community Manager at scverse

Emma Dann is a highly skilled researcher and community manager with a strong academic background in biological sciences. Currently serving as a post-doctoral fellow at Stanford University and a community manager at scverse, Emma's previous roles include data science consultant at Ensocell and research associate at Wellcome Sanger Institute. Emma's PhD research at the University of Cambridge focused on statistical methods for comparative meta-analysis of single-cell datasets, under the mentorship of Sarah Teichmann and John Marioni. Emma also gained experience through research internships at EMBL and the Hubrecht Institute, where complex dataset integration and epigenetic profiling were key areas of focus. Additionally, Emma has been involved in biohacking initiatives in Italy as a board member of OWL - Open Wet Lab and has conducted significant research during an internship at Università degli Studi di Trento. Emma holds a Master's degree from Utrecht University and a Bachelor's degree from Università di Trento.
