Lukas Heumos

Lukas Heumos is a Research Software Engineer at Lamin since February 2023, focusing on API and UX development, data curation, and customer interactions. As a co-founder and steering council member of scverse, Lukas contributes to the advancement of single-cell analysis tools in Python. Since January 2021, Lukas has also served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Helmholtz Munich, leading several widely used projects and mentoring PhD students. Earlier experience includes a software engineering role at the Quantitative Biology Center and contributions to open source projects during an internship at Boehringer Ingelheim. Lukas holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning from the Technical University of Munich, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Tübingen.
