Gabriel Barrera is an experienced finance professional currently working as an Accounting Assistant at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) since May 2023. Prior to this role, Gabriel served as a Costing Manager at Mad Engine, LLC. from January 2019 to June 2023, and briefly worked as a Loss Mitigation Coordinator at Guild Mortgage in 2020. Additionally, Gabriel has experience as a Production Assistant in freelance roles and as a Receiving Clerk at Aztec Shops Ltd. from 2013 to 2020. Internships at the San Diego International Film Festival and Poetry International Foundation provided further experience in event coordination and literary management. Gabriel holds an Associate of Arts degree in Finance from Southwestern Community College District and a degree from San Diego State University.
