Ellen Kenney

Ellen Kenney is an experienced educator with a focus on science and social studies instruction, currently serving as a Collaborating Teacher Facilitator at SDP since September 2002. Ellen promotes a hands-on, student-centered approach to learning while developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with Pennsylvania State Standards. With a history of collaborative work in Response to Intervention (RTI) processes, Ellen has organized school-wide science fairs and led in-class professional development on inquiry-based science. Previous roles include Middle Years Science Teacher, Social Studies Teacher, and Early Balanced Literacy Intern, showcasing a commitment to fostering literacy and creativity among students from nursery to middle school levels. Ellen holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of the Arts.
