Jenny Bäcklin

Jenny Benevento is an accomplished professional in the field of taxonomy and metadata, with extensive experience spanning over two decades. As the owner of Bento Metadata & Content since March 2005, Jenny specializes in consulting on taxonomy, ontology, and metadata strategy. Jenny's expertise includes structured data design for consumer goods at DoorDash, and setting metadata strategies while managing large-scale taxonomies for Etsy. Previous roles include teaching at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, developing controlled vocabularies for the Associated Press, and creating taxonomies for Sears Holdings Corporation. Jenny holds an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in History from Reed College.
