Simon Dodds

Simon Dodds has a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on financial control and management. Simon most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at Sea/ by Maritech, starting in January 2019. Prior to that, they held various roles at Clarksons Platou, including Financial Controller of IT and Digital Broking, Senior Group Financial Accountant, and Group Financial Accountant, spanning from October 2013 to January 2019. Simon also worked at Kingston Smith W1 as an Assistant Manager and Audit Supervisor from November 2012 to October 2013. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Chartered Accountant at Kingston Smith and an Audit Senior at haysmacintyre. Simon began their professional journey as an Administrator at Stockton Borough Council and served as an Administrative Officer at Job Centre Plus, where they worked face to face with clients to improve their skills and help them return to work.

Simon Dodds attended Egglescliffe College from 2003 to 2005, where they pursued Maths, Chemistry, and Biology. After completing their time there, they went on to Durham University, where they studied Biomedical Sciences and earned their BSc Hons degree from 2005 to 2008. Following their undergraduate studies, Simon attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained their ACA degree in Accountancy.
