Sea Solar Power has been focused on bringing Ocean Thermal Energy to the world since it’s inception in 1972. Through private funding sources SSP has developed an optimized OTEC power cycle as well as the components needed to build a 20 MW power plant. We continue to test our proprietary heat exchangers, 4 MW hydrocarbon-vapor power turbine, and cold-water pipe design. We are seeking opportunities to build a prototype 20 MW plant with a projected electricity output cost of $0.22/kWh for the initial plant, and $0.13/kWh for subsequent plants.
