Alexander MacLarty

Alexander Maclarty possesses extensive engineering experience in the maritime and offshore drilling sectors. Currently serving as Technical Section Leader for the Engineering Support Project group at Seadrill since January 2018, Alexander has previously held roles such as Technical Section Leader onboard the Sonangol Quenguela drillship and SPS Project Lead, overseeing capital projects and intermediate surveys. Prior experience with Seadrill includes a tenure as Technical Engineer and Chief Engineer, with significant involvement in the operational preparation of 6th generation drill ships. Earlier positions with Stena Drilling and Craig Group showcased Alexander's advanced technical skills, having progressed from engineering cadet to Chief Engineer. Education includes an HND in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Warsash Maritime College and a Chief Engineer Unlimited degree from Glasgow Nautical College.
