James Hutton is currently a Barge Superintendent at GDI, bringing extensive experience from previous roles in the maritime industry. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Marine Section Leader at Seadrill, where they were involved in the commissioning and inspection of a new cyber jack-up in Dalian, China. Prior to that, Hutton worked as an OIM at Transocean from 2010 to 2012. Hutton completed their education at Peterhead Academy between 1984 and 1988.
