James Oliver has extensive experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems, with a career spanning over three decades in various roles within the maritime and aviation industries. Currently serving as a Sr. Mechanic/Hydraulic Tech at Seadrill since August 2013, James has been involved in the commissioning of new drillships and the maintenance of complex drilling equipment. Prior to this role, James held positions at Noble Drilling, where responsibilities included commissioning new drillships, and Cal Dive International, where maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic and hydraulic systems were key duties. James's career began in the United States Air Force, where a focus on the maintenance of C-5A/B cargo aircraft and expertise in pneumatic and hydraulic systems were developed. James’s technical background is supported by a high school education from Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts.
