Torsten Sauer-Petersen is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Seadrill.

Torsten has over 25 years of experience in organizational optimization and change management. Torsten has a proven track record in designing and implementing processes that align with strategic goals and ensure optimal employee selection.

Prior to joining Seadrill, Torsten was the Organizational Optimization Project Lead at Maersk Drilling, where they headed the PMO and served as a proxy for the CEO. Torsten also spent three years at Maersk International Shipping Education, where they completed an international posting in Mumbai, India.

Before their career in the private sector, Torsten served as an Officer of the Reserve in the Danish military. Torsten holds a degree in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School.

Torsten Sauer-Petersen's educational career includes a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from IMD, with a focus in Advanced Management Concepts. Torsten also has an Advanced Management Concepts certification from IMD, with a focus in Building on Talent, Leadership and Management. Additionally, they have a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (HD) from Copenhagen Business School, with a focus in Economics, Statistics (incl. Probability), and a certification in Executive MBA from IMD business school.
