Beverley McConnell is a Snr R&D Design Manager at Seagate Technology, where they have worked since 2015, managing a team of engineers focused on next generation recording heads for HAMR. Prior to this role, they served as a Staff Design Engineer from 2007 to 2015, designing components for next generation recording heads and collaborating within cross-site technical teams. With over 17 years of experience in the hard disc drive industry, Beverley holds an MSci (hons) in Chemical Physics and a PhD in Solid State Physics, both from The University of Glasgow. They possess extensive expertise in the design of magnetic and optical components for recording heads, along with substantial technical leadership experience in a global environment.
