Heidi Olson

Heidi Olson is a Senior Staff Engineer at Seagate Technology, where responsibilities include leading production system development and qualification, as well as managing test system platforms since October 2007. Previous roles at Seagate include mentoring new hires and enhancing test systems for advanced technologies such as Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR), Wire Assisted Magnetic Recording (WAMR), and Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording (MAMR). In addition to engineering work, Heidi Olson served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Academy of Science from August 2017 to January 2019, contributing to budget reviews and the annual science fair. Academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Physics from Colorado State University, as well as a BS in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Arizona.
