Jay Loven

Jay Loven is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience at Seagate Technology since June 1996. Currently serving as the Engineering Director for the Recording Technology Roadmap, Jay leads a team focused on understanding areal density physical limits and staging technology for next-generation disk drives. Previous leadership roles include Sr. Engineering Director in Test Systems Engineering, Sr. Engineering Director/Director for Device and System Characterization, and Managing Principal Engineer in Magnetic and Electrical Test Engineering. Jay's expertise encompasses thermomechanical design, product reliability, electrical integration, and advanced data analysis. Educational credentials include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Minnesota.
