Shwetha Kumar, PhD, is a Senior Process Engineer at Seagate Technology and a PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in the simulation and development of advanced sensors focused on 2D materials for sensing applications. Shwetha has hands-on experience with thin film growth and various characterization methods, including SEM and XRD, and has conducted extensive research on defects in irradiated electronic materials. Previously, Shwetha served as the Outreach Chair for the AAAR Student Chapter at CMU and held multiple roles in AIESEC, contributing to event management and corporate partnerships.
