They also have experience at Newell Rubbermaid, where they worked as an Associate Trade Marketing Manager from September 2015 to March 2017, Assistant Trade Marketing Manager from May 2014 to September 2015, Campus Relations Lead from July 2013 to May 2014, and Sales Representative from June 2011 to July 2013. E.A. Smith began their career as an Investment Services/Wealth Planning Intern at H Wealth Services from June 2008 to May 2011.

E.A. Smith attended the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Their field of study was Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Sales. Additionally, they completed a minor in Journalism with a specialization in Advertising.
