Célia Chatel has held various positions in the technology and research fields since 2013. Célia started their career as a Web Development Intern at Incubateur Multimédia Belle de Mai in 2013. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at the Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale in Marseille, where they developed a gravity center calculation of polytopes aiming at improving the performances of some machine learning algorithms. Célia then moved to the Institut Montefiore, d'épartement d'informatique, in 2015 as a Research Intern, where they used random forests to identify relevant features in big dimension datasets. In the same year, they became a PhD candidate at Aix-Marseille University's Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale (LIS), where they conducted research on classification models with overlapping clusters and tree models. Célia successfully defended their PhD in December 2018. In 2018, they held the position of ATER (Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et Recherche) at Aix-Marseille Université. Since 2019, they have been the VP of Engineering and Software Engineer at Searoutes, where they have been responsible for the development of the routing algorithm and new features for the existing APIs and new APIs.
Célia Chatel attended Lycée Faidherbe from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained an equivalence of a L2 degree in Mathematics and Physics. Célia then moved on to Ecole Centrale de Marseille, where they obtained a Diplome d'ingénieur Centralien in General Engineering from 2012 to 2015. Finally, they completed their Master Recherche in Fundamental Informatics at Aix-Marseille Université in 2015.
