Walter Scott has extensive experience in mechanical maintenance and project management within the marine and construction industries. Currently employed at Victoria Shipyards Co. Ltd since May 2017 as a VISSC Assistant Test Specialist focusing on Material Requisition and previously held the position of MatCert QC. Simultaneously, Walter has been with Seaspan ULC since February 2006 in various roles, including Work Package Controller, overseeing the safe operation of systems in a submarine environment, and as a Pipefitter, responsible for the installation and repair of piping systems on commercial and naval vessels. Walter's career also includes mechanical maintenance work at BC Buildings Corporation from September 1998 to February 2006, where duties encompassed maintenance in provincial office spaces and supporting property management with database upkeep and financial processes. Earlier experience as a Pipefitter at Electric Boat from 1982 to 1985 involved installations on U.S. Navy vessels. Walter Scott's educational background includes attendance at The Ohio State University from 1979 to 1981 and Ledyard High School, graduating in 1978.
