Jonathan Dean

Jonathan Dean has extensive experience in the opera community, particularly with Seattle Opera, where roles have included Dramaturg and Director of Public Programs and Media since March 2010. Responsibilities encompass managing social networking platforms, maintaining relationships with media, and overseeing in-house publications. Previously, from October 1995 to 2010, Jonathan served as Education Artistic Administrator, creating children’s adaptations of Wagner’s RING operas and introducing opera to youth through performances. Jonathan also contributed as Education Associate by writing the "Spotlight Guide" series and developing the "Experience Opera" program. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Music from Yale University, obtained in 1995.
