Maria Meyer

Stewardship Program Manager at Seattle Opera

Maria Meyer is currently the Stewardship Program Manager at Seattle Opera. Prior to that, they were the Community Outreach and Events Manager at Central Co-op from March 2016 to September 2020. Maria was responsible for broadening the reach of Central Co-op in both Seattle and Tacoma through strategically nurturing existing relationships while building new sponsorships, partnerships, advocacy work, and donations. This included doubling and diversifying the participants in the Community Partners program and tripling the amount raised for charitable giving.

As the liaison between the Co-op and local/neighboring charitable organizations, ethnic/cultural groups, mangers of neighborhood buildings, youth programs, and other community stake holders, Maria was responsible for managing Marketing team scheduling and performance documentation. Maria also implemented, monitored, and maintained Co-op fundraising and donation programs. In addition, Maria coordinated and attended community partner events, programs, and workshops; developed and oversaw programs that supported marketing strategies, informed choices, and healthy living, while building loyalty and a sense of inclusion for all of the community; implemented and managed Central Co-op’s Community Partner program; represented Central Co-op to members of the media and community; developed, coordinated, created content for the electronic and print newsletters; and researched and advocated for public policies and actions that are in-line with and promote Central Co-op’s values and goals.

Maria Meyer studied vocal performance at the University of Puget Sound, earning a Bachelor of Music degree.

Maria Meyer reports to Allison Rabbitt, Director of Development. They work with Lauren Superville - Individual Giving Officer, Emma Ming Wahl - Development Coordinator, and Chris Burkett - Associate Director of Development, Individual Giving.
