Lorraine Schmit has a diverse work experience in finance. Lorraine is currently working at Groupe SEB as the Vice President of M&A and Corporate Venture Capital Investments. Prior to that, they worked as a Sessional Lecturer at emlyon business school, where they gave occasional lectures on financial subjects to MSc in Finance and Grandes Ecole students. Before that, they had a long tenure at Goldman Sachs, where they held various roles including Chief Underwriting Officer in LBO and Acquisition finance and Executive Director in Leveraged and Acquisition Finance and Debt Portfolio Management. At Goldman Sachs, they managed a debt portfolio, originated and executed leveraged finance transactions in different industries.
Lorraine Schmit completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law at ESSEC Business School from 2000 to 2005. Lorraine also pursued a Diplom Kauffrau degree in Finance at the University of Mannheim from 2002 to 2004. Lorraine is currently enrolled in the Executive Leadership Program at HEC Paris, specializing in Innovation. Additionally, they hold a Lycee degree from Louis le Grand. Lorraine has an additional certification, the FCA qualification, awarded by the Financial Conduct Authority.
