James Appleyard

James Appleyard is currently the Head of Sanctions Transformation & Business Engagement at SEB, where they lead significant projects to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. Previously, they served as a Manager in Financial Advisory at Deloitte Danmark, focusing on sanctions and financial crime risk management. Their earlier experience includes a management consultant role at Verisk Maplecroft, where they developed risk management programs for various high-profile clients. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Italian from the University of Bristol, a Master’s Degree in European Politics and Policy from Birkbeck, University of London, and completed a Change Management program at IMD in 2023.
