Stephen Bottomley

Stephen Bottomley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data analysis and financial crime analytics. Currently serving as a Senior Data Analyst at SEB since January 2023, Stephen previously held roles including Senior Risk Officer for Transaction Monitoring Analytics at Danske Bank, where significant achievements included defining a methodology for semi-automated threshold setting. At PwC, as a Manager within the Financial Crime Analytics team, responsibilities involved improving transaction monitoring systems for clients while tracking financial crime trends. Earlier experiences include Technical Consultant at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence and a Research Intern at ECA International, as well as clerical and administrative roles in healthcare and youth programs. Stephen holds a Master of Mathematics and Statistics from Newcastle University and A Levels from John Port School.
