William Paus

EVP & Co-Head of Large Corporates & Financial Institutions at SEB

William Paus is currently the EVP & Co-Head of Large Corporates & Financial Institutions at SEB. William has held this position since January 2018.

Prior to their current role, Paus served as the Chairman of the Board for SEB Investment Management AB from January 2013 to December 2016. William was also the Country Manager for Norway from January 2010 to December 2018. In addition, they were the Head of Large Corporates & Financial Institutions Division, Norway from January 2007 to December 2018.

Paus began their career at SEB in 1992 as a credit analyst. William then became a trader for interest rate derivatives in 1993 and was promoted to Head of Sales, Trading & Capital Markets, Norway in 1995. In 1998, they were again promoted to Head of Trading & Capital Markets, Asia where they worked until 2001 when they were transferred back to Germany to serve as the Head of Merchant Banking. William held this position until 2007 when they were once again transferred, this time to Norway to serve as the Head of Large Corporates & Financial Institutions Division.

Paus has been with SEB for 29 years and has held various positions within the company. William has experience working in different countries and has a deep understanding of the financial industry. Their experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to SEB.

William Paus studied at the Universität Mannheim, where they earned their Diplom Kaufmann degree. William also attended the IMD (International Institute for Management Development), where they completed business programs.

Their manager is Johan Torgeby, President & CEO. They work with Mats Holmström - Chief Risk Officer, Ulrika Areskog Lilja - Head of Group Marketing and Communication, and David Teare - Head of Life Division .
