Christopher Jones

Christopher Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Christopher is currently the Head of Product at SECJUR, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as an IT Lawyer and Head Product Owner for Legal Engineering/Automation at SECJUR from October 2022 to March 2023. From July 2018 to September 2022, Christopher worked as an IT Lawyer and Senior Associate at Taylor Wessing Germany. Before that, they were the Co-founder and CEO of Jones & Xu Import-Export GmbH from January 2011 to July 2018. Christopher also gained experience as a Referendar at Slaughter and May, Hengeler Mueller, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2013. In addition, they worked as a Freelance Translator from January 2000 to December 2011, and as a Web Programmer from January 2002 to April 2004. Christopher's early career involved being a Research Assistant at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they focused on criminal law, criminal justice, legal theory, and information and computer science law from October 2004 to April 2011.

Christopher Jones completed their education as follows:

From 2008 to 2010, they attended The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they obtained a Master of European Law degree with a specialization in European Law.

From 2011 to 2013, they studied at OLG Hamburg, earning a 2. State Exam degree in Law.

Earlier, from 2003 to 2010, they also attended The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they obtained a 1. State Exam degree in Law.

In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. In July 2013, they received a Doctorate degree from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg. In August 2020, they acquired the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals. Christopher also holds the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in March 2023. Further, they have been appointed as the IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair at the International Association of Privacy Professionals since January 2021.
