Shane Copenhaver

Shane Copenhaver has a diverse work experience in various roles. Shane is currently working as a DevSecOps Engineer at Second Front Systems since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the United States Air Force, where they held multiple positions. From August 2021 to June 2023, they served as an Operations Flight Chief, and from November 2020 to August 2021, they were the Superintendent of the Plans and Requirements Division. Before their time in the Air Force, they worked at the Joint Communications Unit as a Senior Network and Systems Administrator from November 2015 to November 2020. Additionally, they have experience as a Telecommunications Engineer and RF Transmissions Systems specialist at the United States Air Force, holding these roles from September 2011 to November 2015 and from July 2003 to September 2011, respectively.

Shane Copenhaver earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology - Security from Western Governors University, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electronics Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2014. Additionally, Shane has obtained several certifications including AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP)®, CompTIA Linux Network Professional – CLNP Stackable Certification, and CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification. Shane also holds certifications in Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP Enterprise), A+, CCNA Security, Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP-RS), Linux+, Network+, Project+, and Security+ from institutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Project Management Institute, CompTIA, and Cisco.
