Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson is a managing director and head of the growth team at Great Hill Partners, specializing in high-growth mid-market portfolio companies. As a founding growth partner, they developed the GHP “Growth Flywheel,” a systematic approach to enhancing value through integrated strategies. Previously, Thompson served as executive vice president and general manager at Nuance Communications, overseeing the successful establishment of the Nuance Mobile Division. They hold an MBA from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
