Derek Smith

Derek Smith has a variety of work experience spanning several years. Derek is currently working at Second Order Effects as a Senior Technical Project Manager and Tech PM Team Lead. Prior to this role, they worked at Morf3D Inc as the Director of Special Projects from 2017 to 2022. Derek also worked at Cyient as a Tool Design Engineer from 2015 to 2016. Alongside this, they were an Applications Engineer and Contract Engineer at Bay State Surface Technologies from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire from 2014 to 2015. Before that, they held the roles of Development Engineer and Quality Engineer at Turbocam International from 2011 to 2014. Derek also worked as a Physics Learning Assistant at the University of New Hampshire from 2011 to 2012.

Derek Smith pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their enrollment at Emerson College from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2014, Derek attended the University of New Hampshire, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
