Lead Mechanical Engineer at Second Order Effects

Michael Brown has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Michael began their career as a Junior Tennis Instructor at Jack Kramer Club in 2006. In 2012, they held roles as an FPGA Programmer and Physics 7A Teaching Assistant at UC Davis Physics Dept. In 2013, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer and Part Quality Analyst at Graken Corp. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Graduate Research Associate at Integration Engineering Laboratory. During this time, they also served as a Graduate Research Associate and Teaching Assistant at Intelligent Manufacturing Systems & Mechatronics Laboratory, specializing in microcontroller and firmware applications for autonomous machine control. In 2017, they began working at Raytheon Technologies as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer II, and Mechanical Engineer I. Currently, they are a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Second Order Effects, Inc.

Michael Brown obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Physics Minor from the University of California, Davis in 2013. Michael then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the same university in 2017. In 2018, they received a TS Security Clearance from the United States Department of Defense. In 2017, they became a 6σ Specialist at Raytheon. In 2011, they obtained a Fire Fighter Type 2 certification from the Mendocino Fire Dept.
