Tighe Costa has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 as a Research Volunteer at the Costa Laboratory at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In 2012, they were a Research Volunteer at the Future Accelerators Laboratory at the International Max Planck Research School on Elementary Particle Physics. From 2013-2016, they held various positions at Columbia University in the City of New York, University of Pennsylvania, Parametric LLC, and Alta Motors. In 2015, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at SpaceX. From 2017-2022, they were an Engineering Lead, Robotic Systems Group, Robotics Engineer III, Mechanical Engineer III, and Project Engineer at Honeybee Robotics. Currently, they are a Senior Systems Engineer at Second Order Effects, Inc.
Tighe Costa attended The Collegiate School for Boys from 2004 to 2012, graduating with a High School degree. Tighe then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Cum Laude B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, followed by an M.S.E. in Robotics in 2016.
