R&D Engineering Manager / Architect at Second Street

Ryan Pulliam has a strong background in software engineering and development. Ryan started their career at Ungerboeck Software International in 2000, where they worked as a Lead Full-Stack Engineer until 2007. In this role, they utilized VB.NET and Javascript to develop software solutions.

From 2007 to the present, Ryan has been working for Upland Second Street. Ryan started as a Lead Full-Stack Developer, focusing on Contesting, and then transitioned to being the Lead Full-Stack Developer of Deadline Deals. In 2013, they took on the role of a Senior Backend Software Engineer, responsible for developing features and managing backend engineering projects. Currently, they hold the role of R&D Engineering Manager / Architect, where they lead a global team and is involved in various tasks such as resolving blockers, managing contracts, and guiding software architecture changes. Ryan is also responsible for building new features, supporting DevOps, and handling deployments and integrations.

Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated a deep understanding of various programming languages such as VB.NET, Javascript, .NET C#, and SQL. Ryan has experience working with RESTful APIs, databases (including SQLServer and Entity Framework), and has a strong understanding of software platforms and codebases.

Ryan Pulliam attended Quincy University from 1995 to 2000, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Science and Business. Later, in 2002 and 2003, Ryan attended Harvard University Extension School to study Information Technology, although they did not obtain a degree during this period.
