Uri Granta

Uri Granta has extensive work experience in the software industry. Uri is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Secondmind since May 2019. Prior to that, they worked at HP Autonomy for six years as a Senior Software Developer, where they specialized in extending the company's core information analytics product and served as the Scrum Master for their team. Before that, Uri worked at Metaswitch Networks as a Software Engineer for five years. Uri was responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complex VoIP features, as well as mentoring new starters and interns. Uri also worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, where they extended their PhD research to the practical setting of JavaScript/DOM and mentored new PhD students. In addition, they had a research internship at Microsoft and project work at Pixology.

Uri Granta has an extensive education history. Uri started their academic journey at the University of Cambridge in 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics in 1999. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same university and completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mathematics (Part III) from 1999 to 2000. Uri further enhanced their educational qualifications by earning a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in 2001. Finally, they pursued a Ph.D. in Computing from Imperial College London, which they successfully completed in 2007.
