Daniel Zachs is a highly experienced professional in the field of biomedical engineering, currently serving as the Director of Clinical Research at SecondWave Systems, Inc. since February 2020. Zachs leads the development of an innovative ultrasound-based wearable neuromodulation platform aimed at treating serious health conditions. Concurrently, Zachs has been a Research Scientist at the University of Minnesota since June 2016, overseeing a DARPA-funded project that explores neuromodulation through focused ultrasound techniques, and directing a clinical trial for Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment. Previously, Zachs worked as a Research Consultant at Medtronic and held research technician roles at both Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Medical School, where expertise included device fabrication and electron microscopy. Zachs holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
