Taylor Berger

Taylor Berger, PhD, has a strong background in biomedical engineering, holding a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a PhD from the University of Minnesota. Professional experience includes a role as a Research Development Engineering Intern at ChoiceSpine, where hands-on experience was gained in surgical equipment and implant development. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, Taylor is currently engaged in advanced research, building upon earlier experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Joint Institute for Computational Sciences and the Brain Computer Interface Lab, applying machine learning techniques in brain-computer interface development. Taylor also served as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Graduate School Diversity Office at UMN and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Tennessee, contributing to educational support in engineering physics courses. As of September 2025, Taylor is positioned as a Senior Clinical Scientist at SecondWave Systems, Inc.
