Sajjad Ali

Sajjad Ali has a diverse background in securities regulation and legal affairs, with significant experience at the SECP from July 2009 to December 2015, where roles included Deputy Director, Joint Director, Additional Director, and Assistant Director. Key achievements at SECP include leading institutional reforms for the capital market, facilitating the corporatization and demutualization of stock exchanges, and overseeing the establishment of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. Sajjad also contributed to the creation of a Sovereign Sukuk Segment and played a pivotal role in conducting Pakistan's country review for IOSCO. Prior to SECP, Sajjad served as a Visiting Faculty Member at Islamabad School of Law from September 2013 to June 2015 and began a career in finance as an Accounts Officer at LMKR. Academic credentials include a degree from Quaid-e-Azam University, obtained between 2002 and 2004.
