SECRET is an innovative Horizon Europe MSCA Doctoral Network advancing next-generation cell-free regenerative therapies by exploring the therapeutic potential of perinatal cell secretomes and extracellular vesicles (EVs). Bringing together leading academic and industry partners across Europe, the project develops innovative, scalable approaches for treating conditions such as myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, and multiple sclerosis.

The network trains 10 doctoral researchers through an interdisciplinary programme that spans stem cell biology, molecular profiling, biomaterials, and advanced delivery systems. By standardizing production methods and validating secretome-based therapies in relevant disease models, SECRET aims to accelerate safe, effective cell-free regenerative medicine toward clinical translation.
