Howard Ho

Co-Founder & CEO at Section L

Howard Ho has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In 2020, they co-founded and became the CEO of Section L. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as the Chief Executive Officer of IntheHood Hospitality, where they successfully scaled a small Airbnb rental operation into a management company with three licensed hotels, three licensed rental apartment buildings, and various monthly rental units, with total inventory close to 150 rooms. Howard also navigated through Japan's 2018 Private Lodging Business Act. From 2014 to 2017, they served as the Director of Development for Hotel Jen and was part of the founding team that created and launched the brand. From 2010 to 2014, they were the Assistant Director of Asset Management for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, where they asset-managed the group's owned hotels. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Consultant for Horwath HTL, conducting pre-development planning and determining market positioning and facilities programming for new hotel developments. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Project Coordinator and Management Trainee at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, managing procurement FF&E and overseeing a FF&E capital budget.

Howard Ho attended Cornell University from 2001 to 2005 where they earned a B.S. in Hotel Administration. In 2021, they completed an Intro to Programming course at Code Chrysalis. Howard also attended Taipei American School at an unspecified time.
