The SCA’s mission is to improve the awareness and adherence to security and privacy practices by application developers through operating a compliance testing methodology that:
	Spans the design, development and maintenance of Applications, Services and Processes (ASP);
	Educates applicants through reinforcing security and privacy practices based on Secure Coding Practices (SCP); and
	Tests applicants on subject matter expertise that awards the applicant with a certification upon successfully passing a skills-based test.
