In 2017 SGI was able to directly take part in the collapse of a major vehicle theft scheme. Over 30 vehicles had been stolen prior to the deployment of the security presence at a vehicle storage lot in the Torrance area. Several tactics were utilized to assist the local police to bait, trap, and surprise would-be-thieves before busting their whole operation and recovering most of the lost property.
