Michael Haley has worked in the public safety sector since 1980. Michael began their career at the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, where they served in various roles including UnderSheriff, Assistant Sheriff, Captain, Sergeant and Deputy. In this role, they provided operational oversight of all Bureau and Divisions in the Sheriff's Office and directed operations in Training, Budgeting, Risk Management, Special Investigations, Civil, Detectives, Patrol, Academy, Detention, Search and Rescue, and Special Weapons and Tactics. In 2014, Michael Haley joined Secured Communications as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Communications Officer. In this role, they offered the most advanced mobile encryption solutions to enterprise, corporate entities and limited individuals, including encrypted text messaging, phone calls, conferencing, image and photos, remote security wipe, file share, and secured command center all compatible with IOS, Android, PC and MAC.
Michael Haley received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Mo between 1976 and 1978. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Muscatine Community College between 1973 and 1975. Michael also holds various certifications, including a Security Clearance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (obtained in 2006), Southwest Command College (2005), Senior Management Institute from Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School of Government (2004), FBI National Academy (1999), Drug Unit Commanders School from the Drug Enforcement Administration, National Executive Institute from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Secret Service Executive Training from the U.S. Secret Service.
