As a Endpoint Security Practice Lead for SecureStrux, Roy “Mac” Kincaid provides Cybersecurity Endpoint Management and Security for a wide-range of SecureStrux clients, helping them secure and protect their assets from attack and/or compromise. In tandem, Mac supports a variety of the cybersecurity engineering requirements to include, Risk Management, annual FISMA security assessments, Security Test and Evaluations (ST&E), and Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI).

Mac has over 20 years of experience performing cybersecurity assessments and hardening various Microsoft and UNIX products. He has a deep understanding of Web, Database, DNS, and Email security and has a passion in passing his knowledge and experience on to others. He has a particular interest and expertise in configuring and deploying McAfee’s Enterprise Policy Orchestrator (ePO) and Host-Based Security System (HBSS)/Endpoint Security (ENS), Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in his field. Prior to joining SecureStrux, Mac instructed Windows and HBSS classes for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). During this period, he traveled worldwide, instructing various DoD security professionals on how to deploy and secure ESS in accordance with USCYBERCOM and DRSI standards. Mac also loves to automate as much as possible and has a strong interest in Microsoft’s PowerShell, WMI, technologies and has used this passion to develop various automation techniques to include WMI event handlers for server and workstation for vulnerability self-evaluations.

Mac holds several technical and security certifications, including Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Oracle Certified Professional DBA, and SANS Institute’s Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Web Application Defenders (GWEB) certified. He is trained and certified by DISA to complete Windows, DNS, and HBSS CCRI Reviews for USCYBERCOM. He earned an M.S. in Computer Science and M.A. in Business Administration from West Virginia University, along with a B.S./B.A. in Accounting from West Virginia University.
