Akshit Goel

Akshit Goel is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Cybersecurity Manager/Architect at Schlumberger since July 2015. In this role, Akshit leads a team of Security Engineers focusing on Application Security, DevSecOps, and Security Automation across multiple locations including Houston, London, and India, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as CIS, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK. Prior to this, Akshit held the position of Software Security Lead, where responsibilities included leading the AppSec program and implementing various security testing methodologies. Akshit also has experience as a Commercialization Engineer Lead, achieving significant automation in testing processes. Additionally, since January 2024, Akshit serves as an Advisory Council Member for SecureWorld, contributing to the development of relevant content for regional events. Akshit earned a Master's degree in Geophysical Technology, Geophysics, and Seismology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee from 2010 to 2015.
