Jeff Eastep

Jeff Eastep has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Jeff currently works as a Security Vulnerability Engineer at Security Benefit since 2022. Prior to this, they served as an I.T. System Engineer at Florida Blue from 2021 to 2022, where they utilized SCCM 2010 to remediate vulnerabilities in the environment. Before that, they worked as an SCCM Administrator / Tier III Support at Saab, Inc. from 2020 to 2021.

From 2019 to 2020, Jeff worked as a System Update Engineer at GDH Consulting, where they utilized SCCM 1906 to assess and remediate vulnerabilities. Jeff successfully brought down the Qualys vulnerability numbers and caused zero incidents during the process.

Jeff's experience also includes their role as a Senior Desktop Engineer / Manager of Desktop Engineering at HOUGHTON MIFFLIN HARCOURT INC. from 2014 to 2018. Jeff recommended and executed the migration from SCCM to LANDesk, reducing costs without business disruption. Additionally, they served as a Desktop Engineer / Desktop Services Specialist at the same company from 2004 to 2014, delivering desktop engineering to multiple offices and managing SCCM instances.

In the early years of their career, Jeff worked as a Desktop Support Technician at BTG, Inc. from 2002 to 2004, providing support to users and managing projects for a support contract at the Orlando Utilities Commission. Jeff also had a brief stint as a Desktop Support Technician at TEKsystems in 2002 and was a Desktop Support Team Lead at TEKsystems in 2001, leading a Windows 2000 migration project at Nextel Communications, Inc.

Jeff Eastep completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (Networking Emphasis) from Capella University from 2002 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the same institution, graduating in 2006.
