Adhiran Thirmal

Adhiran Thirmal has extensive experience in the field of application security, having worked in various roles and companies. Adhiran is currently employed as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Security Compass since June 2021. Prior to this, Adhiran worked as a Technical Program Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from 2020 to 2021.

Before joining AWS, Adhiran worked as a Solution Architect at Micro Focus from 2017 to 2020, specializing in Fortify application security. In the same year, they also worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at SAP, where they focused on securing SAP Analytics Cloud through various security measures such as SAST, DAST, MAST, Penetration Testing, and Threat Modeling. Adhiran also worked on iOS mobile application and machine learning features during their time at SAP.

Adhiran's career started at TELUS in 2012, where they worked as a Developer Analyst, developing tools and processes for internal TELUS IT teams. Adhiran was later promoted to Developer Analyst II. Adhiran then transitioned into the role of Security Consultant, where they guided the application security strategy within TELUS digital and implemented solutions to protect TELUS applications against cyber attacks. Adhiran was promoted to Security Consultant II during their time at TELUS.

Adhiran Thirmal attended the University of Waterloo from 2007 to 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
