Emily Bain

Emily Bain has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Emily worked for Security Compass from 2011 to the present, starting as a Software Developer and progressing to Senior Software Developer, Principal Software Developer, and currently as a Staff Software Developer. Emily'sroles at Security Compass included designing and developing new features, mentoring other developers, and acting as a feature owner. Emily also took on responsibilities as a member of the Architecture Team, providing technical consultancy for development teams and aligning feature work with the overall architectural vision. Emily was a primary architect for a large-scale project, creating new microservices and incorporating threat modeling information into core content matching functionality. Before Security Compass, Emily had a Co-op role at Research In Motion as an Integration Management Coordinator for a few months in 2010. Prior to that, they had a Co-op role at eSentire Inc. as a Security Operations Centre in 2009.

From 2008 to 2011, Emily Bain attended the University of Waterloo, where they obtained credits towards a BCS degree in Computer Science.
