Tom Gilson

Tom Gilson has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and cyber operations. Tom currently works as a Senior Engineer at Security Onion Solutions, LLC, starting in September 2022. Previously, they served as an Information Security/System Architect at the Cyber Protection Brigade from August 2020 to September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Support Center Analyst at DISA from November 2019 to August 2020. Tom also has a background in the military, having served as a Cyber Operations Specialist in the US Army from October 2017 to December 2019.

Tom Gilson completed their high school education at Harris County High School from 2004 to 2008, earning a High School Diploma. In addition to their high school education, they obtained multiple certifications from CompTIA in 2021. These certifications include CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) ce Certification, CompTIA Security Analytics Expert – CSAE Stackable Certification, CompTIA CySA+ ce Certification, CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Stackable Certification, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification.
